Empowering Concurrent and Independent Operations with CORTEX Automation

Concurrent execution, facilitated by cutting-edge technologies like CORTEX, empowers businesses to run multiple operations simultaneously, be it the same Automation recipe or different ones. It enables each task to run independently and concurrently on a single system, unaffected by the progress of others. This revolutionary approach has the potential to eliminate lead time in order processing, delivering substantial benefits to organisations.

Watch our video to hear Stephen Connor talk more about the importance of concurrent execution. You can also read the transcript below.

Stephen Connor:

So once you’ve deployed Automation to a production environment, you never get one request at a time, you always get, you know, hundreds of 1000s of requests for the same thing at the same time. And being able to handle each of those requests concurrently and yet independently, is really important. And CORTEX lets you run multiple, asynchronous or concurrent operations of the same or different Automations at the same time on the same box, completely independent of each other. But effectively running the same Automation recipe. We had a deployment for an IP VPN service provider in North America, where, for example, you know, they’re selling IP VPN services to customers with 10,000 sites.

When you’re processing an order for 10,000 sites manually, typically, you’re going to start at site number one you’re going to do all of site number one, then you can move to site two and do all of site two and so on you operate in a very sequential fashion, but with CORTEX, every single one of those 10,000 sites can be started at the same time can be run totally independently and that will let the organisation firstly eliminate lead time for processing that order. But it also speed up the time to value because your, your order duration is as long as the longest site provisioning activity that you need.
